MEET THE FOUNDERS - CINDY & KIM: FARMGIRL PICKINGS & KH LIMITED
Two long time friends decided to blend their passions into one business with two names. Farmgirl Pickings & KH Limited is a fun, inspirational shop located in a charming 1920’s farmhouse. Stop by and let us help you find that special gift, home décor piece or we can craft the perfect arrangement.
Cindy (Farmgirl Pickings) & Kim (KH Limited) met when our children were in preschool and we attended a MOPS group at our church. We shared a love of creating, gardening, and decorating with vintage & antique finds. We are country neighbors & are both are active in family farming/ranching.
Cindy - FARMGIRL PICKINGS
I grew up in the Naches Heights area and worked for my dad in the orchards or helping with our family's cattle. I have been riding horses for as long as I can remember. I was the second "son" and learned to operate any type of equipment at a young age. After attending YVCC I drove truck hauling processer fruit. When my husband and I purchased a 1880's farmhouse on his Uncle's ranch I joined the farming crew and help with haying and the cattle operation.
I have been married to my husband Bob for 24 years and we have two children Austy & Emory.
I am surrounded by a very talented and crafty family and have always been interested in making things and decorating. I have used vintage finds and repurposed items to decorate our home from the start. I love primitives, folk art and classic farmhouse style. I host a vintage inspired show at my home the 3rd Saturday of July "Down on the Farm". I was a vendor at a local antique mall before taking the leap out on my own.
Kim Hayes - KH Limited
My roots run deep here in the Yakima Valley. I have lived here all my life and later married into a local fruit farming family. We grow apples and cherries in the upper valley. When not at the shop I enjoy the outdoors with my husband and 2 boys. We love boating and snow sports. At home I enjoy gardening and training my Labrador, Ruger. Ruger and I hope to become a certified therapy team when he is a bit older.
I was fortunate to work for Nordstrom’s at an early age and later at a few local retail boutiques. Working in a vocation where I could help others has always brought me great joy. To have a customer come in and enjoy the atmosphere and be assisted with a gift or a new piece of clothing and finish up with gift wrapping is just the best!
Working alongside, Cindy, has been a great adventure! We met when our kids were babies and now here we are with a shop that depicts both our styles. Vintage farm style with English or French countryside influence.
